Swimming Lessons

Yr 1 – 6 In term Swimming Lessons to be held between Monday 27th March and Thursday 6th April 2023 at the Cockburn Aquatic and Recreation Centre, 31 Veterans Parade, Cockburn Central. 

• Group 1, A2 A3 B4 B6, will leave at 11.40am and arrive back to school at 13.00pm       
• Group 2, A1 A4 B2 B7, will leave at 12.25pm and arrive back to school at 13.45pm  

Students are required to bring their swimming gear to school in a plastic bag or swimming bag labelled with the student’s name. Thongs can be included in the bag for wearing to the pools. Before leaving for the pools, students will be provided with a time to change into their swimming gear.

Students will be provided with a break at school. Therefore, students are not permitted to take food to the pools and parents are requested not to buy food for their child/children at the pools. Group 2 will eat lunch before going to the pools and can still order a school canteen lunch.

Students with long hair need to have it tied back before arriving at lessons and in-line with  South Lake’s Dress Code. Jewellery is not to be worn and students are not permitted to take valuables to the pools.

In the event of an accident or emergency, the supervising teachers will immediately contact the parent/guardian of the child/children concerned and inform the school. Parent contact details therefore need to be up to date. Parents wishing to attend the pools as spectators will be required to pay a daily entry fee.
